Demo Schools in India: Catalysts of Educational Revolution

A Journey into Educational Innovation and Empowerment

Overview

Piramal Foundation is working to establish 20,000 Demo Schools in India, primarily in Aspirational Districts, through two intervention models: Campaign-Based Interventions in 108 Aspirational Districts and Donor-Supported Projects operational in various districts. The initiative aims to transform education by creating a Demonstration School in each cluster across 112 Aspirational Districts. These Demo Schools, totaling over 20,000, adhere to three key criteria:

Centers of Excellence: Each Demo School exemplifies academic rigor, and active community participation, supported by modern infrastructure.

Integrated Approach: The initiative focuses on both quantitative and qualitative data management, teacher training, child engagement, and capability enhancement among Demo Schools.

Multi-Level Engagement: The educational journey is addressed comprehensively, spanning from pre-school levels to senior secondary stages.
