Buniyadi Shiksha Abhiyan: Illuminating Foundations, Transforming Futures
Exploring the Profound Impact on Education and Empowerment
Enhancing Foundational Literacy and Numeracy
Overview
Studies show 60% of Grade I students struggle with word problems, and only 50% of Grade III students read at Grade I level, revealing a skills gap. Our initiative aims to enhance primary education quality through Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). Buniyadi Shiksha Abhiyan (BSA) , via Piramal Foundation, targets 112 Aspirational Districts, establishing one Demo school in each cluster to influence other institutions, disseminate best practices, and improve overall education quality. Supporting Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Mission, we identified 20,000 demo schools based on infrastructure, enrollment, and Anganwadi presence, aligning with New Educational Policy (NEP) vision.
